Ripple Executives Remain Confident Following XRP Lawsuit Ruling

Ripple executives are confident in the company’s global business operations after the recent court decision in the SEC’s lawsuit against them. They believe the decision will allow Ripple to continue expanding its services worldwide.

Rahul Advani, the policy director for Ripple APAC region. Reportedly said at a press conference in South Korea that the decision would not significantly affect the company’s expansion plans.

Bloomingbit reported that Advani said most of Ripple operations (90%) occur outside the US, including a significant portion in the Asia-Pacific area. Advani also said that the company’s two-year legal battle with the SEC has been when it has expanded the most significantly.

The SEC filed the lawsuit in December 2020, alleging that the sale of XRP, the digital token that powers Ripple payment and remittance network, constituted an illegal offering of unregistered securities worth $1.38 billion.

Despite this uncertainty, Advani expressed his confidence in the judicial process and expected the judge to make a ruling in the case in the first half of this year.
